Teaching has played such a vital role in my life for the past 11 years. During the last 8 years I have been fortunate enough to teach what I love in an Alabama First Class Pre-K classroom. Early childhood is my passion, and I LOVE learning how children learn. My goal is to create a classroom environment where children feel safe, loved, and part of a family. I believe that building a strong social-emotional foundation is equally as important as academic learning. It is my mission to use conscious discipline practices to foster children who are confident, kind, and independent. When I’m not teaching you can find me at home with my husband, Kody and my two daughters Molly (15) and Emmy Clare (10). We spend lots of time playing softball so I’m usually cheering them on at the ballpark. I wouldn’t trade those moments for the world because teaching and motherhood shape who I am.
